SWISS STEAK 
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup flour
2 tbsp. fat
1/2 chopped onion
Dash of pepper
2 1/2 lb. round steak, 1-inch thick
1/2 chopped green pepper

Add salt and pepper to the flour and pound into meat. Brown in a skillet with fat. Then add onion and green pepper. Cover and simmer slowly until tender, about 1 1/2 hours in a casserole dish or skillet at 300°F.
