BLOND BROWNIES 
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. chopped nuts

In large bowl combine butter and brown sugar. Let cool. Beat in egg. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt into brown sugar mixture. Add vanilla and nuts and mix well. Spread in greased and floured 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Bake at 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 16 (2 inch) squares.
