POPPY SEED TEA BREAD 
3 c. sifted flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. poppy seed
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 1/3 c. milk

Sift together dry ingredients, add seeds. Beat together sugar, Crisco and eggs. Blend in lemon peel and milk. Add wet mixture all at once to dry ingredients, mixing only until all are blended, about 30 strokes.
