ICE CREAM-COOKIE SUNDAES
Chad, one of our kid-testers, called this dessert a banana split with a hidden cookie.

EQUIPMENT:

Measuring cups
4 dessert dishes
Small spoon
Table knife
Ice cream scoop or large spoon

INGREDIENTS:

4 soft oatmeal cookies (2 to 3 inches in diameter)
1/4 c. butterscotch, chocolate, or caramel ice cream topping
1 sm. banana
2 c. vanilla or chocolate ice cream
1/4 c. peanuts

1. Break cookies into small pieces. Arrange a layer of cookie pieces in the bottom of each dish. With the small spoon, put some of the ice cream topping over the cookie pieces. Save the rest of the topping until Step 3.

2. Peel the banana. Slice it with the table knife. Arrange some banana slices in each dish.

3. Use the ice cream scoop or large spoon to place ice cream into each dessert dish. Spoon the remaining ice cream topping over the ice cream. Sprinkle each serving with some peanuts.

4. Top each dessert with pressurized whipped dessert topping, if you like. Serve right away. Makes 4 servings.
