KATHY'S MUSHROOM BREAD 
16 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 stick real butter
1 bunch green onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pkg. Provolone cheese, sliced thin in pie quarter shapes
1 loaf French bread

Sauté first 4 ingredients until mushrooms are barely done. Section bread in 1-inch diagonals, keeping bread in a whole. Spoon little of mushroom mix between each slice. Also, insert pie shape of cheese in each slice. Wrap loaf in foil and bake at 300°F for about 20 to 30 minutes.

This is almost a meal in itself. Everyone loves it.
