BEEF STROGANOFF | |
1 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. chopped white onion 10 fresh mushrooms 1 tbsp. dry white wine 1/2 tsp. paprika Salt & pepper to taste 1 c. light cream 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil 1 lb. steak (tenderloin, sirloin, rump), cut into strips 2 x 1/2 inch Salt & pepper to taste 1/4 c. sour cream In saucepan, melt butter and saute shallots and mushrooms for several minutes. Add wines, seasonings, cream and mushroom soup, Simmer for 5 minutes. In a separate pan heat oil; add meat, salt and pepper. Brown meat quickly on both sides. Remove meat from pan and add to sauce. Do not let meat and sauce boil. Simmer slowly until meat is tender. Add sour cream and mix thoroughly. 4 servings. Serve with UNCLE BEN'S® long grain and wild rice mix. |
