CINNAMON APPLES 
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. "Red Hots" cinnamon candies
2 tart apples, sliced thick
Oil

Pour water over candies and let stand while cooking apples. Coat apples with oil and drain. Cover bottom of pan with apple slices and brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels. Put apples back in pan and pour candies over them. Cover and simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. The apples become plump and pretty. Serve over ice cream.
