AUNT ELIZABETH'S CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 can tomato soup or 3/4 c. tomato juice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Sm. can green peas, undrained
1/2 c. instant rice
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

In a large skillet, brown ground beef. Add onion; drain off excess liquid. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Pour into a 2 quart casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and top with cheese. Allow cheese to melt before serving. Serves 6.
