CHICKEN ALMOND HOT DISH | |
2 lbs. seasoned pork sausage 2 green peppers 2 c. uncooked rice 9 c. water 1 lg. bunch celery, chopped 2 med. onions 1 box Lipton dry chicken soup mix 1 c. almonds, chopped Fry the sausage and drain off excess fat. Add chopped celery, chopped peppers and chopped onions. Fry until soft. Mix meat and vegetables in large baking dish with the rest of the ingredients. (Do not season until done as sausage may have enough.) Bake 20 minutes in moderate oven, covered. Stir and bake 20 minutes more, or until done. More water may be needed. Rice may be pre-cooked; then you will use less water. |
