PIE CRUST 
1 lb. lard (do not substitute)
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 3/4 tsp. salt
4 1/2 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. ice water
Juice of 1 lemon or 1 tbsp. vinegar

Work together the lard, sugar, baking powder, salt and flour. Mix the egg, ice water and lemon juice together and stir in (or work with hands) to the flour mixture. This recipe makes a large amount and the dough will keep in the refrigerator for several weeks. Roll out the amount you need and put into pie plate.
