6 tbsp. sugar
5 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 c. coconut
2 tsp. vanilla
9 inch pie shell, baked

Combine sugar, flour and salt in saucepan. Add milk and egg yolks. Mix thoroughly. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add coconut and flavoring. Cool. Pour into pie shell.

MERINGUE:

Beat 3 egg whites until soft peaks form. Add 4 tbsp. sugar beating until stiff. Spread on filling. Sprinkle with coconut and brown in 350 degree oven.
