BANANA CHIP BARS 
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. butter, softened
2 c. Quaker 100% natural cereal
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. mashed ripe banana (about 1 lg. banana)
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. In large bowl, beat together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add 1 1/2 cups cereal and the remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread into prepared pan; sprinkle with remaining cereal. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, cool; cut into bars. Makes 13 x 9-inch pan of bars.
