OATMEAL SCHOOL COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. wheat germ
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. sunflower seeds or nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and salt. Beat well. Stir flour, baking powder, wheat germ and oatmeal together. Blend well with other ingredients. Add water a tablespoon at a time. Place by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly. Bake 10-12 minutes.
