OLD FASHIONED POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring
2/3 c. cream or milk
4 c. flour

Cream the butter and sugar. Add flavorings. Add 1 egg at a time. Note: Eggs should be at room temperature. Alternate flour and milk-cream. Begin with flour and end with flour. Pour into greased and floured cake pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees 1/2 hour (the last half hour) if cake is not brown on top, leave in a little longer. It depends on the oven. Note: Mixer should be on the low speed, 1 or 2.
