PICKLED PEPPERS 
Sweet peppers
1 c. vinegar
Salt
3 c. sugar
Vegetable oil

Cut sweet peppers to size desired. Cover with water and boil for 7 to 10 minutes. In a saucepan combine 3 cups sugar and 1 cup vinegar. Boil for 5 minutes. Stuff clean jars with the sweet peppers. Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil and 1 teaspoon salt to each jar. Pour boiling sugar and vinegar mixture over pepper in the jar. Seal with hot lids and turn upside down.
