CHAD'S GINGER COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 c. dark molasses

Cream shortening and sugars; add egg and molasses. Sift dry ingredients, then add to creamed mixture. Chill a few hours. Make walnut size balls and roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes (watch closely). Recipe will make 4 dozen cookies. (Grease cookie sheet.)
