CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. shortening (Crisco-butter flavor)
1 1/8 c. sugar
1 1/8 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. water
3 eggs
3 3/8 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 c. nuts

Blend shortening, sugars, vanilla, water and eggs. Stir until creamy. Add dry ingredients and stir until blended. Add chocolate chips and nuts (optional).

Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
