LENTILS SOUP 
2 glasses brown dry lentils
3-4 celery stalks
1 chopped onion
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 glass oil
1 tsp. salt

Clean, wash and drain the lentils in strainer; cut celery in chunks. Steam chopped onion and celery in little oil. Add lentils, water and spices; cover the pot and bring to boil; reduce heat, cook for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. Serves 6-8.
