ITALIAN COOKIES

1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening

Beat until fluffy. Add: 1/4 tsp. salt

Mix well. Add: 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. Anisette flavoring 2 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Drop 1 teaspoon of mix per cookie on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes.

ICING:

1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. Anisette flavoring
