JOANNE'S BROCCOLI - ONION AU
GRATIN
 
2 standard pkg. frozen broccoli spears (or 1 lb. fresh broccoli, chopped)
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2 1/2 tsp. French dressing
1 can French fried onions
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2/3 c. evaporated milk

Cook broccoli until tender, drain well and place in greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with grated cheese; drizzle 2 teaspoons French dressing on cheesed broccoli; sprinkle casserole with 3/4 of French fried onions.

Combine soup and evaporated milk and pour over casserole. Bake at 315 degrees for 25 minutes, then sprinkle remaining 1/4 French fried onions on casserole and bake for another 5 minutes. Serves 6-8 as a potluck, etc., side dish. For larger group, double recipe and use shallow 9 x 13 inch casserole. Tremendously delicious and a crowd-pleaser.
