FRENCH TOAST WITH "SNOW" 
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
Day old bread (4-6 slices)

Beat together in shallow dish. Dip bread (both sides) into milk/egg mixture. Fry in small amount of fat on a hot cooking surface until golden brown. Serve hot with butter and syrup; sprinkle with confectioners' sugar ("snow"). May use cinnamon in place of nutmeg.
