FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 large can fruit cocktail
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

Mix shortening and sugar. Add eggs and juice from fruit cocktail. Mix soda and salt with flour. Add to first mixture. Add fruit cocktail last.

Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
