2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 #2 can apple sauce
3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. nuts, chopped fine
2 tsp. baking powder
1 box raisins

Cream sugar and shortening, and add applesauce. Sift flour, spices, salt and baking powder together. Add nuts and raisins to flour mixture. Combine this mixture to the apple sauce mixture and mix well. Pour into 2 cake pans. Bake 300 degrees for 30 minutes.
