SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1 lb. very lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried sweet basil
1/4 tsp. fennel seeds
16 oz. can low sodium tomatoes, undrained
6 oz. can low sodium tomato paste
1 1/2 c. water
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper

Brown meat, onion and green pepper. Drain off fat. Add all other ingredients. Cover and simmer about 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Makes 6 servings.
