HOT MULLED CIDER | |
1 qt. apple cider 2/3 c. light brown sugar 8 whole cloves 5 cinnamon sticks, divided 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. ginger 4 lemon slices In a 1 1/2 quart saucepan combine cider, brown sugar, cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, nutmeg and ginger. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly, reduce heat. Cover. Simmer for 10 minutes. Strain. Into cups pour cider and garnish with cinnamon sticks and lemon slices. May keep warm in crock pot on low. Makes 4 (1 cup) servings. |
