DAVE MORING'S GUMBO 
3 or 4 lbs. beef soup bones
1 1/2 lbs. pork
2 chicken backs & necks

Boil in one gallon of water until meat comes off bone. Remove bones. Add:

1 lg. onion, diced
1 or 2 green hot peppers, cut fine
12 tomatoes, cut up
2 or 3 lbs. okra, cut up
4 or 5 ears corn, cut corn from cob
1 c. fresh butterbeans (opt.)

Cook until vegetables are done on slow heat. Salt and pepper to taste. makes about 1 1/2 gallons.
