MEDITERRANEAN CREAM WITH
CHOCOLATE SAUCE
 
1/2 lb. cream cheese
1/2 lb. unsalted butter
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 oz. orange liqueur
1/2 c. white seedless raisins
1/2 c. black currents
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate

Soften the cream cheese and butter to room temperature, approximately one hour. Beat the cream cheese and butter together in a mixer until it is a smooth creamy texture. Do not over beat. With the mixture on slow, add the sugar, lemon juice, orange liqueur, raisins, and currents. Mix thoroughly. Chill thoroughly, about one hour. Melt chocolate over boiling water. Dish out the cream on a plate with an ice cream scoop and surround with chocolate sauce. Garnish with shaved chocolate. Serves 4 to 6.
