BIG WALT'S SPICY BEEF DIP | |
1/4 c. finely chopped onion 1 clove garlic, crushed 1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper 1 1/2 tbsp. salad oil 1 lb. ground top round 1/4 c. ketchup 1/4 c. tomato paste 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 3/4 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves 2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened Saute first 3 ingredients in hot oil for 5 minutes. Add meat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until meat loses red color. Mix in next 7 ingredients. Cover. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm with crackers or party rye bread. Makes approximately 2 1/2 cups dip. |
