FLUFFY BEER BATTER | |
1/2 c. cornstarch 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 c. beer 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten 2 lbs. fish fillets Combine cornstarch, flour and salt. Stir in beer and mix until smooth. Fold in beaten egg whites. Cut fish fillets into serving pieces and dip in batter. Fry in hot 375 degree oil until golden brown. Drain on paper toweling. Serves 6-8. |
