The problem with recipes like this is thinking that the BRAND NAME of a cleaning product like Dreft or Vel fixes the FORMULA of that product. It doesn't. Dreft isn't what it was when people used it as bubble bath, and you probably can't find that version of Vel either. If you want to be sure of what you're making, you need to get individual chemicals by their chemical names, and not rely on commercial mixtures that may change from when one person buys and works with them to another.
