PORK CHOP ONION-RICE BAKE 
4 to 6 pork chops
2 tbsp. shortening
1 c. uncooked rice
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1 env. Lipton's dry onion soup mix
2 tbsp. diced pimento, if desired
Hot water

Brown chops in shortening; remove and drain. Spread rice in bottom of 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Reserve 1 tablespoon of seasonings from envelope of onion soup mix and sprinkle remaining seasonings and bits of onion over rice. Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid, and distribute mushrooms and pimiento over rice. Add hot water to reserved mushroom liquid to total 3 cups liquid and pour over rice.
