BLONDIES 
8 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped pecans

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir in the sugar until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool. Butter a 9 inch square baking pan.

Combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Beat the eggs one at a time into the sugar mixture. Beat in the vanilla. Stir in the flour mixture gradually. Stir in the pecans. Pour into a prepared pan and bake until blondies break away from the sides of the pan, 50-60 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
