NUTTY COCOA BROWNIES 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour (self rising)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. butter
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, flour, soda, cocoa. Stir well, set aside. Combine water and butter in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until butter melts.

Pour over dry ingredients and beat on medium speed of mixer 1 minute. Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla. Beat just until blended.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Spread on frosting as soon as you remove from oven.
