RED'S CHAMPAGNE PUNCH | |
1 pkg. frozen strawberries (the kind with syrup) 1 fifth brandy 2 fifths dry white wine 4 to 6 oz. Triple Sec or Cointreau 4 to 6 dashes of bitters 2 bottles Club Soda 1 bottle champagne Marinate strawberries in brandy 2 to 3 hours. Pour over ice (plenty of ice). Add wine, Triple Sec and bitters; mix well and let stand a short while. Just before serving, add soda; taste to adjust Triple Sec or bitters. Add champagne (with a flourish) and serve. Remember to prepare marinating strawberries in advance for making additional punch. Garnish with fresh strawberries for fancy. |
