ORANGE COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. lard
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
3 1/2 c. flour
rind and juice of 1 orange

Frosting:

1 lb. powdered sugar
rind and juice of 1 orange
melted butter (enough to make a spreading consistency)

Cream sugar, lard and butter. Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream. Add orange juice and rind. Drop on buttered cookie sheet and bake at 350°F until done. Frost while warm. Do a couple of test cookies first as you may need more flour.
