GARDEN SALAD 
4 c. green leaf lettuce, torn
1 carrot, shredded
1 c. shredded purple cabbage
1/4 c. oven-browned croutons
1 c. diced tomatoes
1/4 c. diced green onions
1/4 c. diced green pepper

Add all ingredients to a large salad bowl and toss with dressing. Serves 4.

NOTE: There are many other healthful items to put into a salad that are not listed in this recipe. Add as many vegetables as you like, but stay away from cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, and oily dressings to avoid high levels of fat.
