CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
2 c. butter
2 c. sugar (or 1 1/2 c.)
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. oatmeal (ground in blender) or 5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
24 oz. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
2 c. brown sugar (or 1 1/2 c.)
4 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. chopped nuts
1 (8 oz.) bar chocolate (semi-sweet or bittersweet)

Cream butter and sugars in a bowl. Butter should be softened first but not completely melted. Add eggs and vanilla to the same bowl and mix thoroughly, making sure to get all the lumps out. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt and soda. Combine the contents of both bowls in one large bowl and mix dough by hand. Blend in fixin's (chips, nuts and chocolate) by hand. Make sure to either finely chop or shred the chocolate bar. Fixin's can be modified to whatever you desire. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.

NOTE: These cookies will not expand or rise, so the size that you place on the cookie sheet is the size that you get after baking.

If you don't want to bake these immediately, the dough can be rolled and frozen. This frozen dough can be microwaved whenever cookies are desired.

Also, if all cookies are made at once, they can be frozen. Cookies are good from the refrigerate when microwaved.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
