3 to 4 lb. shredded cabbage (2 med. heads) 3 to 4 grated carrots 2 to 3 med. onions, chopped 1/4 c. sugar (more or less to suit taste) 1/2 c. vinegar (white) 1/2 c. oil (Crisco) 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1/4 tsp. mustard seed 1 tsp. caraway seeds Into the sugar put vinegar and oil and all the other ingredients. Mix well. Store in a covered container or jar in refrigerator. Keeps a month in refrigerator. |
