HAM AND CHEESE SCALLOPED
POTATOES
 
Slice potatoes 1/4" thick. Place sliced potatoes in saucepan, salt and cover with boiling water. Boil gently for 5 minutes or until fork tender; drain well. Melt butter in saucepan, brown some onion about 3 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in flour and pepper, salt and add milk for white sauce. Stir until thickens. Add ham (small can) to potatoes and pour white sauce over. Bake, uncovered until bubbling, add a little cheese to white sauce. Bake at 350 degrees.

WHITE SAUCE:

2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 1/4 c. milk
