1 stick butter 1 lb. light brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 4 eggs 2 c. sifted flour 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 tsp. baking powder In top of double boiler dump butter, sugar, vanilla, salt and eggs. Stir until butter is melted. Remove from heat and dump flour and baking powder. Add chocolate bits and nuts. Beat together well and put in 9"x13" pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Butterscotch and coconut may be used. |
