APPLE FRITTERS 
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. milk
1 egg, well beaten
2 med. apples, peeled and chopped

Combine milk and egg until well blended. In another bowl combine all the dry ingredients together. Pour in milk and egg mixture and stir until blended. Add chopped apples.

Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into deep fat at 365 degrees and fry about 3 minutes, until brown and done in the middle. Turn while frying. Drain on paper towels. Place fritters in paper bag with granulated sugar and shake to coat. Best served warm. Makes 3 dozen.
