PANCIT 
1/4 c. cooking oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, minced
1 c. boiled pork, sliced or sliced chicken breast
1 small cabbage, shredded
1 large carrot, sliced
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
1 scallion, chopped
1 bundle rice sticks (Bijon), soaked, drained and cut
2 pieces Chinese sausage, fried and sliced
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
1 tsp. Aji-no-moto, MSG (optional)

Sauté garlic in cooking oil. Add onions, pork (or chicken), carrot and cabbage; season with soy sauce. Add broth; simmer. Mix in rice sticks (Bijon); season with salt to taste and MSG (optional). Garnish with Chinese sausage and scallions. May also serve with hard-boiled egg, cut up or scrambled egg, cut in strips.
