1 lb. sirloin tip sliced in bite sized pieces, across grain 2 tbsp. salad oil 3 tbsp. brown sugar 3 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. soy sauce 3/4 c. water 2 bunches green onions, sliced 5 oz. can bamboo shoots, drained 1 lb. can bean sprouts 5 oz. can water chestnuts, drain & slice 3 oz. can mushroom slices Cooked rice for 4 to 6 people Heat oil in skillet and brown bite sized pieces of meat 3 to 4 minutes. Combine sugar, flour, soy sauce and water, and pour it over meat. Mound the meat to one side in the pan, add onions and bamboo shoots, cook and lift from bottom about 5 to 8 minutes, also lift and stir meat mixture. Add bean sprouts, water chestnuts and mushrooms in a third are of pan. Cook and lift as it heats. This will take less than 5 minutes. Serve over cooked rice. |
