GADSBY'S SCAMPI 
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. dry sherry
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. sugar
1 lb. shelled raw shrimp
1/4 c. minced fresh parsley

Melt butter in shallow pan over low heat. Add Worcestershire sauce, sherry, garlic, lemon juice and sugar. Mix well. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the sauce. Spoon sauce over shrimp. Boil until heated. Remove and let stand 15 minutes. Sprinkle parsley over shrimp. Broil 2 minutes longer. May be served as an appetizer or over rice as an entree.
