WHOLE WHEAT BISCUITS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. shortening
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. pecans
2 tbsp sugar

Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cut in shortening until it is in fine particles, add almost all the milk; mix with fork, then all pecans, roll on floured board and cut with biscuit cutter, place together and bake in oven at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Serve with apricot or pecan jelly.
