1/2 c. oil
1 c. coke
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring oil, coke, butter and cocoa to a boil and add it to flour, sugar and salt.

Once combined add eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Note: (1 teaspoon vinegar or lemon juice in milk makes buttermilk.)

COCOA ICING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat butter, milk and cocoa. Beat in 1 box of powdered sugar. Add with vanilla and 1 cup of nuts, if desired. Spread over cake while it's hot!
