COOKIES WHILE YOU SLEEP | |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2 egg whites 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1/4 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chocolate tidbits (semi sweet) 1 pinch of salt 2/3 c. sugar 1 c. chopped pecans Beat egg whites until fluffy, add salt and cream of tartar. Continue beating, add sugar 2 tablespoons at a time and beat after each addition. Stir in vanilla, nuts and chocolate. Cover cookie sheet with foil, (must do this) drop mix by teaspoon onto sheet 2 inches apart. Turn off oven, put in cookie sheet, do not open for 8 hours or until next morning. Yield: 4 dozen. |
