Was just going to say, fantastic substitute for those with special needs e.g. diabetics. I have made Sugar Free Pecan Pie on numerous occasions for relatives and was happy to see that this was out there so everyone can benefit. I do in fact use Splenda as there is no aspartame which is the negative criticism most have associated with the taste of "sugar-free" items. Additionally, good diet syrups can be found without aspartame and without too much of any artificial flavours which give the pecan pie that authentic taste we all know and love. If you want to combine the "sugar-free" methodology with "reduced-fat", you can always cheat on the shell/crust by using the pre-made Keebler ones as they have one that is reduced-fat. Cheers on the recipe and sharing it with the world!
