GRANOLA CEREAL | |
1 c. oil, canola (any cooking oil will do but lighter oil is better) 1 c. honey 1 c. sunflower seeds 1 c. shaved almonds, with skins 1 c. walnuts, chopped (optional) 12 c. rolled oats, not quick Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Measure oil first, then honey into large metal bowl. Place bowl in oven for 5 minutes. Remove bowl, add seeds and nuts, stir to mix. Add oats and mix thoroughly until all liquid in absorbed and all ingredients are coated. Pour into 17 x 11 x 2 cake pan. Bake 15 minutes. Remove, mix thoroughly. Bake 15 minutes, repeat; again and once more for a total baking time of 1 hour, or until golden in color. Let cool for a couple of hours or overnight. Store in airtight jars or Ziplock bags. Eat with milk and fresh fruit, raisins, etc. Enjoy! |
