BEER CHICKEN | |
1/4 c. oil 1 sliced onion 1 clove garlic, chopped fine 1/2 c. catsup 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. dry mustard 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. cider vinegar 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 bottle of beer (add beer last) Saute onion and garlic in oil. Remove from fire. Mix together all other ingredients except beer and add to oil mixture. Place cut up chicken in pan, skin side up. Broil until light brown. Add beer to mixture and pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours, basting frequently. Spare ribs are also good cooked this way. Enough for 2 or 3 cut up chickens. |
